One of the best parts of any folk festival is the opportunity to engage in what’s going on and to get in on the dancing, playing music, art projects, and so much more. CityFolk is no exception! You may find opportunities to join in around any corner of the festival – we encourage you to take up the adventure.
Here are just a few of the many options for participating at the festival…
Whether you’re a big kid or a small one, there’s something for you at CityFolk! The BSOMA KidZone is open from 1-6PM on Saturday and Sunday with family-friendly activities such as face painting, crafts, playing a variety of musical instruments & more. Come and bring the kids or discover the kid inside you!
Be sure to check out the brand new Silent Auction this year, you can get some awesome goods and help us raise money for the Bluesfest School of Music and Art (BSOMA)! BSOMA brings music into the lives of children in need across Ottawa in its new home, Festival House, the new CityFolk office Headquarters on Churchill Avenue.
CityFolk, in conjunction with RBC Bluesfest, delivers music education programs to children across Ottawa. We believe all children should have a chance to experience music in their developmental years, and as a non-profit organization, we strive to deliver these programs in an affordable and accessible manner.
