CityFolk first began in 1993 (as the Ottawa Folk Festival) and has continued to be one of the most popular community festivals in Ottawa. Credit for the rapid success and growth of the festival can be given to the dedicated team behind it. We value teamwork and ambition, but most importantly, the willingness to jump in and help with anything and everything.
Unless otherwise indicated, all positions at CityFolk are available through the Job Creation Partnerships (JCP) program, offered in partnership by Ottawa Festival Network and Employment Ontario. The JCP program is designed to provide those receiving Employment Insurance benefits (or those with reach back status) work experience opportunities needed to acquire more marketable skills to help them find future employment.
CityFolk is committed to building an inclusive workforce reflecting the demographics of a Canadian society. The organization has also developed policies and procedures in order to ensure a barrier-free selection process and workplace.
